Deep Dive into Romantasy Research
I have many thoughts on the creation and continuation of the romantasy genre.
Big, soap box, worthy thoughts.
A soap box I happened to pull out on the Writer’s of the Future podcast and tend to hop onto at conventions.
Honestly, my belief in the sexism inherent in the forced genre isolation of romantasy isn’t controversial among romantasy authors, but it is something I want to be able to better articulate to a wider audience.
Then mania kicked in.
I now have a thirty-title, family tree-style chart of romantasy’s development and popularization as well as a massive reading list of both books and research resources that will take me months to get through and note.

Event News
I have officially been accepted to Dragon Con 2026!
The event isn’t until September, but I’m already making plans and I’m so damn excited!
If you’re a Comic Con person and have the ability to go to Atlanta, GA, please, PLEASE go check out the Dragon Con site. It’s an experience like none other and should absolutely be on your bucket list.
